Message Place the nut over the center of broken bolt.

Have the MIG wire touching the broken bolt (center of nut). Then do a circular fill. It would weld the nut to the broken bolt.

I have take MANY broken studs out this way.

Just make sure the MIG wire is starting off by touching the broken bolt first.

You may just get away by just holding the MIG in the center with a higher heat setting on welder.
